adidas Originals “Hide and Seek” Stan Smith 80s TF

An interesting theme making its way into the adidas Originals 2010 spring/summer collection has been their “TF” line. The TF line is based around iconic classics which feature a transformable upper. The initial drop has seen highlights that include the Superstar and the Stan Smith 80s seen here.

In its original form, the Stan Smith features a high-top profile in which the upper can be un-zipped and removed to create a low-top version in a different color.

The Stan Smith 80s TF is available now at select retailers.

Ilse Jacobsen Rubber Boots

Ilse Jacobsen. The Danish brand was founded in 1993 when Jacobsen was looking for something that wasn’t made of “bad smelling rubber” and wanted to create a shoe that was comfortable and could endure outdoor activities. Nike Basketball has just unveiled several themed posters that tie into Kobe Bryant’s adoration for Bruce Lee, with the inspired-by colorway set to drop this Saturday at House Of Hoops and select Nike accounts nationwide. With a yellow synthetic base and black bonded overlays, this rendition also features hits of red and four iconic scratch marks along the lateral side of the shoe.

For Kobe, the colorway is one of many that will be releasing that took direct influence from the people throughout history that he has looked up to. “We have some different people that have been inspirational to me,” Kobe explained during an interview for Sole Collector’s upcoming Issue 32.

“We all have had dreams, goals or aspirations, and have met resistance in one form or fashion. Those are people that I draw inspiration from, so we used those with the different colors of the shoe, [like] the Bruce Lee shoe.”
