Nike Zoom Kobe V x Hyperize – 2010 Preview

While it is not exact, this Hyperize-ish new style sports a midsole and outsole pretty similar to the Kobe V, along with a heavily Flywired upper. The color scheme of this particular sample goes with a simple white base accented by Navy and Red, with some matching graphics on the ankle and heel.
The colorway doesn’t seem to have a Kobe connection unless it’s an Olympic nod, so it’s hard to say for sure if these are in fact the same type of Kobe hybrid that we saw last season with the Hyperdunk, but the tooling would certainly make you think so.

Could it be???

Onitsuka Tiger Lawnship – Fall 2009

The Onitsuka Tiger Lawnship comes in brown/bronze/cream and grey/lime, both using tweed uppers consisting of suede lace trim and toe in their respective colorways. The Onitsuka Tiger logo is placed on the side panel amongst the tweed fabric, making this a really simple silhouette. The lime accents on the grey pair make an otherwise dull grey shoe stand out, and the clean mix of the brown pair with bronze and cream make this another candidate for everyday wear. Both are available now for about $90 overseas.

These more detailed images show how Nike Zoom Kobe V has colors that are much bolder and brighter than the Zoom Kobe IV version. The textured upper is made to look like a three-toned snakeskin, while the red speckle pattern on the mid-sole has a sinister resemblance to blood splatter. The outsole and Nike Swoosh are done up in a super bright neon green.

COUNTERKICKS EXCLUSIVE: Nike Zoom Kobe V “Make Sense” (4 New Colorways)

This model is remarkably close in looks to the Nike Zoom Kobe V signature shoe, sharing what looks to be the same basic outsole, tooling, and uppers.
The style is so close in fact, that we wonder whether this isn’t just an early sample version of the Kobe V.
It’s been hedged in the past on other websites as a “takedown” Kobe Bryant model.

Red Wing Classic Dress Moc

While the iconic shape and profile of the Red Wing boot has become a mainstay across certain parts of the fashion scene due to the popularity of the workwear aesthetic, the 9012 and 9015 Classic Dress Moc styles offer something a little different and arguably more refined. The bulky wedge sole we’re perhaps more familiar with is done away in favor of a sleeker heeled outsole.

Available in a Chestnut brown or black over at Blackbird.

The Gucci Icon0 Temporary pop-up store will have its inaugural opening this week at Crosby Street in New York City with an opening party on Oct 23 and its official opening the next day. Absolutely not an event to be missed, this deserves more than just a figurative space on your calendar and should be graced in person before it jets off to another place.
