Martin Margiela's new leather slip-ons are a white light amidst the throngs of Vans re-hashes that have flooded the market for the past couple of years. The shoes, inspired by medical footwear, has an upper wrapped in white grain leather that's coupled with a low profile sole.

Dr. Martens x Stussy “The Hambleton”

Last time Dr. Marten and Stussy were together, the fling ended with the classy Tyler Boot. Now that the flame is burning again, we step things up a bit with The Hambleton. Packing a reinforced EVA wedge sole, The Hambleton come in either navy, ecru, or black. The uppers are all made of canvas and the silhouette looks to be inspired by tennis shoes.

Look for these to hit Stussy retail locations in March.

Gucci GSB9 – Parachute Harness Inspired High-Top Sneaker

For the Spring/Summer lines, Gucci will drop these high tops supposedly inspired by parachute harness. Featuring, wouldn’t ya know it- straps. But this motif is slightly different from other lifestlye shoes with straps because they are equipped with clips rather than velcro. With a leather and nylon uppers, the first expected colorways will be a tonal white and black.
Expect these to pop up in the upcoming months.

Nike Basketball has just unveiled several themed posters that tie into Kobe Bryant’s adoration for Bruce Lee, with the inspired-by colorway set to drop this Saturday at House Of Hoops and select Nike accounts nationwide. With a yellow synthetic base and black bonded overlays, this rendition also features hits of red and four iconic scratch marks along the lateral side of the shoe.

For Kobe, the colorway is one of many that will be releasing that took direct influence from the people throughout history that he has looked up to. “We have some different people that have been inspirational to me,” Kobe explained during an interview for Sole Collector’s upcoming Issue 32.

“We all have had dreams, goals or aspirations, and have met resistance in one form or fashion. Those are people that I draw inspiration from, so we used those with the different colors of the shoe, [like] the Bruce Lee shoe.”
