Amar’e Stoudemire’s PE of the new zoom Skyposite is a nice blend of style and performance. The posite series has a long lineage of models, including the widely-popular Penny models from the past. This model as a streamlined, futuristic feel, as the Phoenix Suns’ purple makes its way onto the lunar sole and fades up through the foam material on the body of the sneaker into a solid black. The toe band is also a slick black to match the upper, pull up, and lining.
Performance-wise, the lunar sole and foam material make this and extremely light, durable, and flexible sneaker for the court. The tongue features an interesting “AS” symbol in a futuristic design. Overall, the shoe does represent a move forward for Nike Basketball, as they are taking design and technology into the next decade. These release at House of Hoops locations in December.
