Gonzales now fuses his parallel careers into one, putting his art onto a sneaker with a collaboration on adidas Originals Nizza Hi. The classic vintage hi-top model with a sturdy white canvas base not only proves to be hard-wearing, but also the perfect backdrop for Gonzales’ signature artwork of painterly strokes.
The colorful minimalist spots flank the side of the Nizza Hi, adding an avant-garde vibe to the blue three-stripes. The tongue is also specially done up with an embroidered patch, and the rest of the sneakers are kept clean with white vulcanized gum soles.
